Eggs are one of those foods that we regularly find on food lists that help in weight loss in a healthy way. They are nutritious, saturated and easy to prepare. They say that diet with eggs can be lost up to 6 pounds a week.
But as every diet, and it has its own advantages and disadvantages. First of all we will briefly present what is in the oats to make them a great nutrition for weight loss, and then take you through some of the most popular varieties of baby eggs.
Basically, these are all high-protein diets with limited intake of carbohydrates.
Why are the eggs so good for weight loss?

The simplest way to lose weight is to reduce your daily calorie intake. A large egg contains only about 78 calories, but is at the same time very nutritious. It contains little of almost every nutrient that is needed for the body to work optimally.
However, keep in mind that if you fry the eggs on the oil or butter, add about 50 calories for each teaspoon used. Because of the high protein content, the eggs themselves are very saturated. This reduces your appetite and makes you less eat and think about eating. In addition, eggs contain all the essential amino acids in the right proportions.
This means your body can use protein from the egg to maintain metabolism. Namely, foods with a large portion of protein, like eggs, help to burn more calories throughout the day, due to the extra energy needed to get the protein digested.
Varieties of Egg Diet
A traditional diet with eggs
In the most popular version of this diet, not only eggs are found on the menu, but they are the main source of protein. It is basically a type of Atkinson’s diet, or a ketogenic diet that emphasizes the importance of limiting carbohydrate intake.
The menu in this diet most often looks like this:
Breakfast: Two or more eggs for breakfast with fruits or vegetables with low carbohydrate content.
Lunch: Another portion of eggs or chicken and fish dishes.
Dinner: A third portion of eggs or chicken and fish dishes with salad or fruit.
What is all allowed to drink and eat?
- Black coffee
- Black tea
- Lemon tea
- Fresh fruit, especially grapefruit or avocado
- Green salad
- Fish and seafood
- Almonds and other nuts
- Foods to be avoided:
- Cream and other dairy products,
- Oil, vinegar and salad dressings,
- Sweet and alcoholic drinks,
- Anything that is not on the list of permitted foods.
At least one meal per day should be eggs (2-3), and other meals should contain as little carbohydrate as possible. A meal with eggs can, but it does not have to be breakfast.
Also, it is very important to drink plenty of water during a diet with eggs to stimulate the digestive system. You should drink at least 9 to 13 cups of water per day, depending on your body weight and activity level.
People often think they are hungry when their brain actually says they are thirsty. So before you take something to eat, take a glass of water.
Extreme diet with eggs
In this variant, only hard-boiled eggs are eaten. This can be dangerous for several reasons. First of all because the eggs do not contain the fibers needed for the balanced functioning of the digestive system. Additionally, the condition of ketosis to which any strict protein diet has leads to has side effects that you will not like (constipation).
Diet for mariners
One version relates to nutrition adapted to marines, i.e. soldiers and top athletes. On the first day of each child, each meal consists of two to three eggs, and then it is recommended to feed fruits and vegetables and other sources of protein, chicken, fish or cheese.
Cooked eggs are preferred because they do not add calories by preparing their eggs. Otherwise, all varieties of eggs are allowed. In this diet it is particularly emphasized that it should not take longer than a week or a maximum of two. What you can get bored of is not the only reason for that.

Another popular variant is a diet with eggs and grapefruit. It includes grapefruit in each meal. In some varieties, only protein is eaten. But what makes the egg nutritious is mostly egg yolk, so in this context it does not make much sense.
Some consider this diet to be avoided during the summer, as the eggs warm the organism from the inside. It seems to be just rumor, as 2 or 3 eggs a day cannot do much damage in any season. Unless you have cholesterol problems or are allergic to the eggs.
How To Cook Eggs Perfectly?
Put the eggs in the pot and cover them completely with cold water. Wait until the water drops out on the strong flame. Leave them so in the water for a few minutes, depending on how you like egg yolks, soft or hard cooked. You can turn off the flame and leave the eggs for a while in hot water.
But there is no need for eggs to boil for more than 12 minutes. Throw hot water and surround the eggs with cold water. You can even add ice. Make sure the shell of each egg is a small craze. When the egg is so cool, you will easily sneeze them.
Negative on Eating Diet
- The diet with eggs is too restrictive. It does not imply a healthy and balanced diet.
- Carbohydrate deficiency makes it difficult to carry out hard physical activity. Therefore, exercise is not a condition for monitoring this diet plan. It does not even recommend it.
- Many people feel fatigue and nausea during the first few days of the diet.
- Nutrition rich in eggs can cause constipation, swelling and tiredness.
- This diet is not sustainable as a long-term plan for healthy weight control.
- Results are temporary. You will probably return all your lost weight when you return to your usual diet.
- This diet is not recommended for people with cholesterol problems. High levels of bad cholesterol in buying eggs may cause side effects.
That’s why doctors rarely approve of this diet.
Eating a diet is intended to help you achieve a temporary weight loss effect. After a week or two it is necessary to continue with a varied and balanced diet. It is the perfect wedding solution you have for the next weekend and similar occasions where you want to look and feel good.
