Low carb diet is one of the most popular diets today, but many people can’t stand being on this diet for a long time only because they can’t stop eating bread! And maybe they have right…..how to make a sandwich or toast without a bread? Being on law carb diet meens that you must plan and prepare in advance your meals, and for all of you that can not immagine the meal without bread, we are offering you a great recipe for low carb bread…. healthy and delicious!
Low carb bread ingredients:
2 cups almond flour
¼ cup coconut flour
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup butter melted
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
¼ cup ground flaxseed
If you like you can replace the olive oil with coconut oil,or if you don’t like the coconut in general or you are allergic to coconut, you can make the bread only with almond flour.
Before starting,make sure that eggs were kept on a room temperature!
If you have a food processor, first put the flour,flax, salt and baking soda into it, pulse to mix them and then add the melted butter, olive oil and the eggs and mix well for 15 minutes.
After, remove the dough from mixing bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes. Another way is to beat the eggs first for a couple of minutes. Then add the melted butter and olive oil and mix until all incorporated. Separately mix the flour,flax, baking soda and salt and then add everything to the eggs. Again,leave the mixture to rest for half an hour. After put dough into the tray,but first place baking paper on the tray. Heat your oven to 350F and when will be fully heated,put the the bread inside and bake it for 30-40 minutes. To be sure that is baked, insert a toothpick into the center and if the pick comes out clean, means that your bread is done! If the pick is not clean, continue baking for additional 10 minutes and then check again. Of course, the well baked bread has beautiful browned colour.When is done,let it cool on a cooling rack and enjoy the taste!
You can refrigerate the bread for couple of days, tightly closed in a plastic bag or you can freeze it for a longer-term storage!
